Laser Surgery, The Cutting Edge
We are proud to announce the acquisition of a state-of-the-art CO2 surgical laser system. Already heavily utilized in human healthcare, we have discovered many beneficial applications for laser surgery in veterinary patients.
This progressive approach is often superior to traditional surgery, especially for specific procedures such as the spay, neuter, tumor & mass removal, soft palate surgery, eyelid surgery and the feline declaw procedure.
Laser Surgery Advantages
-
Less pain
-
Less swelling
-
Less bleeding
-
Extreme precision
-
Reduced risk of infection
As we continue to utilize the Laser system, we discover more surgical applications in our daily practice.
In many procedures, it is far superior to the stainless steel blade of traditional surgery.
Laser Surgery, How it works
A laser beam is simply a very intense, precise beam of light. The surgical apparatus is designed to provide precise control over the laser beam and to permit adjustments in the actual strength and type of laser beam being generated.
The laser energy instantly vaporizes the water found in tissues, allowing it to “cut”. This intense beam seals the nerve endings and blood vessels as it moves through the tissue, resulting in less bleeding, swelling and post-operative discomfort.
