Pet Adoptions & Rescue Organizations

We at Country Oaks Animal Hospital believe pets deserve second (and third) chances and are committed to helping newly adopted pets integrate into their homes.

We recommend an exam within the first week of adoption to evaluate your new pet’s health and demeanor and address any potential concerns with immunizations, parasites and discuss preventive health concerns for the new family member.

This initial healthy pet adoption exam and office visit is free of charge during the first week after adoption. We will consult with you regarding behavior concerns, potty-training, and adjustment issues as well providing a physical examination. Normal fees will apply for any other services requested.

There are several county-supported shelters, humane societies, SPCA facilities and volunteer based rescue groups listed here for your reference. The grass root organizations sometimes come and go, so please let us know if you should find a link that is no longer valid. And if you know a rescue group you think we should add, please share that information with us.
