Dr. Armour
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Christina Armour was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. From a young age, she always knew she wanted to be an animal doctor. She acquired her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science/ Pre-Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and her Masters of Science in Biology in 2010 from Louisiana Tech University in Rustin, Louisiana.
She graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she moved to Dayton, Ohio to practice veterinary medicine in privately and corporately owned animal hospitals. In 2021, she moved to Florida to be closer to her family in Largo.
Dr. Armour’s veterinary interests include client education, surgery, ultrasound, and exotic companion animals (small mammals- hedgehogs, ferrets, rabbits, Guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats, mice, gerbils and reptiles- bearded dragons, geckos, non-venomous snakes, turtles and tortoises). Dr. Armour enjoys wellness/preventative care, dentistry, surgery, and pain management care for our canine and feline friends as well.
She currently resides in Dunedin with her menagerie of pets; her yellow tabby (Oliver), schnauzer (Lucy), three tortoises (Walter- a Sulcata, Vladimir- a Russian, and Ivan-a Russian), bearded dragon (Jack Scalington), and her ball python (Cuddles). In her spare time Dr. Christina Armour loves reading, drawing/panting, yoga, meditation, and like any good southern girl- she enjoys food whether cooking or eating.
